To the Muslim, from their perspective, Allah did listen to the prayers, and he answered them.
Given the characteristics attributed to God, that God is in control of everything, how should a Christian view this event? Since Allah doesn't exist ,it wasn’t Allah who had a hand in it. It wasn't him who actually granted the pregnancy.
So Gods decision to finally bless the couple with a baby is keeping the poor Muslims on the wrong track by fueling their delusions, making them think Allah actually answered the prayer and granted them their desires. In doing so he amplifies their belief in the wrong religion, making it more likely they will end up in hell.
So why is it that God will allow things to happen that will re-enforce peoples faith in the false God, and make them more likely to go to Hell?
TOUGH QUESTIONS FOR CHRISTIANS #34
WHY DOES GOD ALLOW EVENTS TO TAKE PLACE THAT RE-ENFORCE BELIEFS IN FALSE GODS?
I asked this question of yours on my blog. Check it out here:

So a just, loving God would, in order to keep people out of hell mind you, guarantee that nothing prayed for to any other god ever happened. That would be a strange world, indeed. It would mean that any time anyone wanted to stop something from happening they would pray to some other god FOR it to happen. God would then detect this prayer and stop the event so that no prayer to any god other than Him COULD happen. This would assure that no person would go to hell by praying to false gods.
ReplyDelete"Um, let's see. It sucks to be poor, so I will pray to Shiva to keep me poor forever. God will see this and insist that no prayer to Shiva be validated so He will make me rich, in order to keep me out of hell."
No, God is just. There is a Hymn in the Catholic Church that says "Anyone who loves is born of God". I suppose that might be extended to "anyone who prays, is praying to the Trinity", whether they understand the Trinity or not.
Again you get another aspect of the faith wrong. You suggest that people will go to Hell for PRAYING to another god. No, they go to hell for chosing hell in opposition to chosing divine grace. This choice might, in fact, lead to praying to another god, but shutting god out IS the radical choice FOR hell.
I'm convinced that you ignore this distinction purposely. It's no wonder that Christianity makes no sense to you because you portray it in terms that make you comfortable with your rejection of it.
Understand instead that God created us in a way that WE create our reality (i.e. the fall in the Garden). Hell is the reality we create when we reject Him. Catholicism is the sure path to safe reunion with Him. He will take us back ANY way He can get us, however, but hopes that we reject ideologies that may lead us to reject Him.
That is neither an incosistant nor absurd set of beliefs, and, again your tough question fails in terms of relevance.
I'm not ignoring that apologetic. I don't think it is relevant. Afterall, are you making a "radical choice FOR Muslim Hell," or are you worshipping a different God because you believe in a God other than Allah?
DeleteThe question is valid regardless off which God(s) you believe are real.
Why would the real God allow prayers to false gods to be answered, thereby increasing faith in false gods?
